Northwich Cultural Centre is housed in two volumes wrapped in an oak veil. The undulating engineered timber relates to the surrounding countryside whilst the scale of the interior spaces echo those of the large industrial buildings which historically occupied the river front. The peaks mark the positions and functions of the key cultural activities occurring inside the building. The building announces the new cultural quarter of Northwich, creating a landmark visible from the Town Bridge and surrounding countryside whilst enclosing a river front square.
