A development of townhouses, apartments and a commercial unit in Wanstead Village
We were selected by Quintain to develop the interior design for the communal areas and apartments of this 330 Build to Rent PRS scheme. Our objective was to give the building identity and appeal for a particular market, whilst also encouraging a community spirit and social cohesion.
The building has a civic quality, fronting onto the main routes through Wembley Park, so we designed our interiors to mediate between the grand proportions of the building and a more human, intimate scale, to create a welcoming atmosphere. The co-living spaces, including a residents’ lounge, co-working and event spaces, are arranged along a meandering route that leads up from the reception area to a generous roof garden overlooking Wembley Stadium.
In the entrance lobby, a polished concrete floor and white oiled oak wall cladding provide a neutral palette that has been given colour accents with resin flooring and walling, whilst large scale pendant lights define resting zones. The communal PRS spaces aim to attract and retain tenants whilst encouraging a community spirit amongst the residents. The mezzanine area hosts a variety of spaces such as a lounge, games room, co-working spaces, a kitchenette and rooms which can also be booked for events or classes.
The scheme provides a high-quality contribution to the ongoing regeneration of Wembley.Expand
